The Optrel Brand: High-tech welding masks.

OPTREL was founded in 1986 by owner André Eggenschwiler. Today, the company belongs to the Koch family and is headed by Marco Koch who, inspired by welders, produces welding protection masks that are always revolutionary.

Optrel AG, an expert Swiss company, is an industry-leading specialist in the production of automatic dimming filters that are used in welding protection products as well as in medical protection glass.

The company focuses on the safety, health and efficiency of welders worldwide. Optrel AG is based in Wattwil (Switzerland) with 70 employees and representative offices in Germany, France, Italy, UK, Czech Republic, Poland and Eastern Europe, Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Brazil, USA, Canada, India, Australia, USA.

Optrel AG has been present in the Italian market since its foundation.

Since 2011 optrel AG has been following Italy with a dedicated Italian Sales Manager.
 

Optrel AG's customers are mainly from the following sectors: automotive, shipbuilding, oil and gas, chemical/petrochemical, metal industry, railway industry, energy industry, construction, garages, art and leisure.

The outlook for optrel AG is a continuous crescendo, first of all because optrel AG is always focused on the comfort of welders, who notice the comfort and therefore, once tried, ask for optrel. Secondly, because the comfort created by optrel AG leads to a safe way of working. Thirdly, we expect great demand from the market for our new masks which, with international patents, confirm our strength in innovation. Just think of the fact that optrel AG invests 15% of its turnover in Research & Development, while companies usually invest around 5%.

Thirty-four years ago, optrel AG introduced the first welding helmet with automatic dimming on the market and has therefore forever improved the working conditions of welders. The product has been an international commercial success and the optrel brand has long been synonymous with automatic welding helmets. Since then, several million welding helmets have been produced in the company in the Swiss town of Wattwil, in order to protect and make welders more efficient in the various continents of the planet. In the meantime, many have attempted to copy the optrel AG helmet, thus only highlighting its dominant status in the market and making it the most copied model in the world.

- Optrel Crystal 2.0, features the new CLT Crystal Lens technology that gives you the feeling of seeing through crystal. It allows 31% of the welding light to pass through, protecting the eye and at the same time allowing a clear and sharp view of the work being performed. 2 din in opening, automatic pilot 4<12 din: it automatically detects the DIN protection degree (which is not the simple automatic closing filter, now offered by everyone), which allows the welder's eye to be more relaxed at the end of the day. It is equipped with the "sunrise effect" function: after the classic opening delay (common in all masks on the market) the sunrise effect is triggered with a gradual reopening in 2 seconds from dark to light. In the case of tack welding, it can be deactivated.

- Optrel Panoramaxx 2.5, with a lens shaped over the nose like a diving mask, provides a 600% more panoramic view than all classic masks on the market. It allows 23% of the light to pass through. 2.5 din in opening (four times brighter than a 4 din mask; 2 times brighter than a 3 din mask), 5-12 din autopilot: it automatically detects the DIN protection degree and is equipped with the "sunrise effect" function: after the classic opening delay (common in all masks on the market) the sunrise effect is triggered with a gradual reopening in 2 seconds from dark to light. In the case of tack welding, it can be deactivated.

- Optrel Vegaview 2.5 allows the passage of 23% of the light. 2.5 din in aperture (four times brighter than a 4 din mask; 2 times brighter than a 3 din mask), 8-12 din with manual external selector.
